Combustible Dust Awareness Training

Following the case of combustible dust explosion at Tuas, Ministry of Manpower (MOM) have started inspections on close to 500 companies that may have combustible dust hazards. However, authority’s effort may not be sufficient, workers should be aware of the potential hazard of a dust explosion and be trained on how to handle materials properly.
Course Outline
- Understand what combustible dust / powder is
- Learning about how the dust / powder is created and how a combustible dust / powder explosion occurs
- Insights of dust pentagon
- Understand the effects of combustible dust / powder explosion
- Identifying a combustible hazard and preventive measures
Who Should Attend
This course is designed and aimed for production manager, operators, and/or risk management team leaders and members who are dealing with potential combustible dust hazards which may lead to combustible dust explosion.
Prerequisites
This course does not have any pre-requisite units for entry.
Exam and Certification
- Participants will need to complete a one-hour live training. and assessment at the end of the course.
- Participants will be required to achieve at least 80% of total marks in the assessment.
- An electronic Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the online assessment.
